Service bulletin SB0505
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Progress Rail is wholly owned by Caterpillar Inc., thus Caterpillar is reporting for Progress Rail. Progress Rail produces a Skytrim product as part of their Maintenance of Way product line. For the Skytrim product, Progress Rail is a final-stage vehicle manufacturer. Caterpillar just became aware of this service bulletin and is providing notice while it is reviewing. On the machines listed, boom cradles must be modified to improve visibility and to install horizontal restraints for service personnel safety. Also a Final Stage manufacturer label is required to be installed on all machines listed.
The document
The document is the manufacturer's. This site does not hold it. NHTSA files a document at one of these two addresses; we have not asked NHTSA which.
