## NHTSA's summary

Some customers have reported damage to the height adjustable discharge chute where it pins to the lower chip discharge attached to the chipper.Altec recommends the original pin be replaced by a new, slightly larger pin. Customers can order the Chute Pivot Pin Kit, part number 990814968, by calling 1\-877\-GO ALTEC \(1\-877\-462\-5832\) selecting prompt 1. The pin should be replaced at the next periodic service interval.
