This is a Technical Service Bulletin sent to dealers. This bulletin instructs dealers to replace both tailgate gas springs with the countermeasure parts when a customer reports a noise generating from the tailgate gas springs when opening and closing the tailgate. This noise may occur when the high sliding friction of the oil seal of the tailgate gas springs cases a stick-slip condition during expansion or contraction.
