# Service bulletin 19\-GI\-002H

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

Effective June 2, 2008, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110 \(FMVSS 110\) set a threshold for correcting load capacity information indicated on tire placards when the vehicle weight has been increased before retail sale. This limit is the lesser of 1.5% of the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating or 45.4kg \(100 pounds\). If the total added weight exceeds the lesser of the limit, a label \(See Figure 1\) must be added to the driver\-side B\-pillar within 25mm \(1 inch\) of the original tire placard.
