## NHTSA's summary

17197 01 \- Service Update. Some vehicles may have contact between an evaporative emission pipe and air conditioning \(A/C\) hose. Over time, such contact may wear a hole into the pipe causing a malfunction indicator lamp \(MIL\) to illuminate and diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) P0442 may set. Dealers will inspect the pipe for wear, install a bumper on the pipe; and if necessary, replace the purge pipe.
