Service bulletin TT 94-13-02

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Tech Tips (Tail Lamp Bulb Holder): This document shows an A6 Jetta Outer Tail Lamp Bulb Holder photo (Part Numbers 5C6945257 & 5C6947258). During the assembly process of this component, the manufacturer utilizes a plastic weld to complete the assembly which is shown in the photo. This plastic weld flux is completely normal and is not evidence of any malfunction. No repair or replacement attempt should be performed, as this is not indicative of any problem.

Listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned: the document says which.

A recall listed here may apply to some of the same vehicles. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle.
