Service bulletin WB18X002

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

BEGINNING FEBRUARY 1, 2019, CERTAIN REGULAR WARRANTY CLAIM SUBMISSIONS MAY REQUIRE SERIAL NUMBER INFORMATION FOR REPLACEMENT ENGINES AND TRANSMISSIONS. WHEN REQUIRED A POP-UP WINDOW WILL OPEN (SEE FIGURE 1) REQUESTING THE SERIAL NUMBER FOR THE REPLACEMENT PART. PLEASE ENTER THE CERIAL NUMBER FROM THE NEW COMPONENT AND CLICK THE SAVE BUTTON BEFORE CONTINUING WITH THE CLAIM. IN ORDER TO PREPARE FOR THIS REQUIREMENT, WE RECOMMEND DEALERS IMPLEMENT THE PRACTICE OF RECORDING SERIAL NUMBERS ON THE REPAIR ORDER FOR ALL REPLACEMENT PARTS THAT HAVE A SERIAL NUMBER. IN ADDITION TO ENGINES, PARTS THAT COMMONLY HAVE SERIAL NUMBERS THAT ISUZU MAY REQUEST IN THE FUTURE INCLUDE: TRANSMISSIONS, TURBOCHARGERS, AND ALTERNATORS.
