Service bulletin NTB15-108a

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

R21B3 2013-17 NV2022-01-08. Service bulletin. Engine Control Module (ECM) Reprogram Voluntary Emission Recall Campaign Campaign Summary: Nissan is issuing a Voluntary Emissions Recall Campaign on specific MY2013-2017 NV200 and MY2014-2017 NYC Taxi vehicles identified in Service Comm and DBS National Service History to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM). Nissan has determined that the software in the Engine Control Module (ECM) may not be calibrated properly. The On Board Diagnostic (OBD) monitor may not detect a manifold catalyst below the efficiency threshold in all circumstances as required by regulation. What Dealers Should Do: 1.Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Emissions Recall using Service Comm or DBS National Service history – Open Campaign I.D. R21B3 •New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). •Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information •Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2.Dealers should use NTB21-105 to remedy any vehicles subject to this campaign. 3.Once remedied, dealers should submit the claim, using the claims coding provided, and release the vehicle.
NTB16-0442021-05-24. Service bulletin. Voluntary Emission service campaign 2015 Taxi ECM reprogram.
NTB160442021-05-10. Service bulletin. INTRODUCTION Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Emission Service Campaign on certain 2015 Taxi vehicles to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) for improper calibration. The improper calibration may result in poor idle quality and/or a P0101 DTC and a Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) illumination. This service will be performed at no charge for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification number PM652 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communications and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. Please see this bulletin for further details.
NTB151082021-05-10. Service bulletin. IF YOU CONFIRM The MIL is ON and DTC P0101 (MAF SEN/CIRCUIT-B1) is stored. ACTION 1. Replace the PCV valve with the new one listed in the Parts Information. 2. If needed, reprogram the ECM. Refer to this bulletin for further detail.
NTB150552021-05-10. Service bulletin. SERVICE INFORMATION After ECM reprogramming, the Calibration Verification Number (CVN) needs to be automatically calculated prior to State emissions testing (also known as Inspection Maintainence, I/M, or SMOG testing depending upon location). Allowing the vehicle to idle for 22 minutes will allow for faster CVN calculation. It is recommended that customers utilize this method if the vehicle needs to be tested for emissions soon after ECM reprogramming. See this bulletin for further detail.
NTB141092021-05-10. Service bulletin. SERVICE INFORMATION Starting with 2010 Model Year, Nissan vehicles have been gradually incorporating a new type of DTC known as Permanent DTC or P-DTC. If a vehicle is equipped with P-DTCs, all emission related DTCs will also set a P-DTC if the MIL is turned ON. A listing of which DTCs that will also set a P-DTC is found in the DTC Index in the EC-Engine Control section of the Electronic Service Manual (ESM). If a DTC repair is performed and the DTC erased, a vehicle may fail an Emission Inspection and Maintenance test if the P-DTC is not also erased. See this bulletin for further detail.
