Service bulletin TSB180178-121720
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
This Technical Service Bulletin describes the verification and resolution of smoke on start-up of the generator set caused by wet stacking, or an incomplete burning of the fuel, when they are run atlittle or no load. Putting asmall load on the engine while it is warming up will help to reduce startup smoke and help to bring the engine temperatureup quicker to disengage the extra fuel device.
