BMW Maintenance Program: Remote Control/Key Battery Replacement. INFORMATION BMW vehicles with option code 322 \(Comfort Access system\) are delivered with two remote controls/keys containing replaceable batteries. Remote control battery replacement for model year 2013 and newer vehicles is covered under the BMW Maintenance Program. PROCEDURE Replace both remote batteries when performing the applicable maintenance service listed below: \* Brake fluid service: This applies to vehicles produced up to July 1, 2013, and all E71 and E88 models or \* Every second engine oil service \(Service Counter 2, 4, 6, etc.\): This applies to vehicles produced from July 1, 2013, excluding E71 and E88 models Stand\-Alone Repairs: If a remote control battery fails before the applicable maintenance service is performed, this replacement can also be claimed. Note: Please refer to SI B66 02 11 for more information on inoperative remote controls/keys. Covered under the terms of the MY 2013 and newer BMW Maintenance Programs. A. Replacing the remote control batteries with the applicable maintenance service listed above. Parts only; replacement labor is included in the maintenance labor operations
