# Service bulletin B310614

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

Front Axle Noise when Turning at Low Ambient Temperatures. A grating and/or squeaking noise from the front axle occurs when turning at low speeds or idle. The noise is most noticeable at low temperatures \(approx. 32 degrees F\), but not unusual at higher temperatures and after driving. Friction between the spring pad and the strut upper support bearing is causing the noise.
