# Service bulletin B340315

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

SUBJECT Uneven Brake Pad Wear with Regenerative Braking. Under certain vehicle operating conditions, the brake calipers' outer pads \(without wear sensor\) will wear faster than the inner pads \(with wear sensor\). This is a normal brake pad wear characteristic that is inherent to the design of this vehicle. CAUSE Certain driving styles can result with a more frequent fluctuation between the use of the vehicle's service brake and its regenerative braking feature, this type of braking characteristic increases the use and consequently the wear of the outer brake pads.
