NHTSA's summary
Thermostat Housing Situation (Update 6). We continue to be in a backorder situation for Thermostat Housing part number 11 53 7 534 521. We have 500 pcs in transit at the moment along with 380 pcs available in dealer inventory. As stock arrives, we will manually releasing these beginning with our oldest backorders first. Oldest backorder is dated 12/21/2015. Currently there are 905 pcs on backorders. Please use the limited supply for car down situations only and do not order for stock. Orders over 5 pcs per day will be cancelled. Until the backorder situation is resolved, we ask to please remove from automatic replenishment and SRD ordering. Please use locator for car down situations.
