# Service bulletin MC3200212

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

Within the framework of quality monitoring, BMW Motorrad has ascertained that the wrong screws were used for the handlebar clamping blocks on a small number of vehicles \(approx. 48 in the US\). If these threaded fasteners are re\-installed in the course of repair work or a retrofit, there is a possibility of the threads in the tapped holes of the clamping blocks being damaged.
