NHTSA's summary

This message is to inform you that tires from the Tire Manufacturer Goodyear/Dunlop beginning November 1, 2012, will have different coverage per their new warranty policy. This effects replacement tires and factory installed tires. Important changes to note: The new guidelines apply to all Goodyear/Dunlop tires (this includes run-flat tires). Road hazard and puncture repairs are no longer covered for run-flat tires. Dealer Tire was able to work with Goodyear/Dunlop to have this end date of Nov. 1st extended till the end of the year 2012. Please note important procedures and highlights in the following attachment. This information will also be posted on the tire center website for reference with links to the new tire manufactures warranty policy. Each BMW dealer will also receive an initial shipment of the update GY/Dunlop brochures. Please include these brochures in the owner?s portfolio of your current vehicle inventory. The ?Tire Manufactures? Warranties Guide? CD ROMs are updated and now being shipped with the vehicles.
