Here at MINI, we are completely committed to our MINI owners by delivering the ultimate in product and service satisfaction. Our interest in your vehicle doesn't stop with the sale; it continues throughout the vehicle's warranty period and beyond. MINI division's quality monitoring has revealed a potential problem that could affect the durability of a vapor recovery diagnostic pump on certain MY 2007 MINI automobiles. We estimate that only a small percentage of vehicles will develop a problem, which will illuminate the Service Engine Soon lamp. The vehicle's safety, drivability or engine performance is not affected; however, fault diagnosis of the vapor recovery system may be affected. To demonstrate confidence in our product, MINI will extend the warranty for the diagnostic pump to10 years or 120,000 miles, whichever comes first.
