# Service bulletin MC6100211

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Within the framework of quality monitoring, BMW Motorrad has ascertained that sporadic hotstarting faults have affected some of these motorcycles. When the hot engine is cranked over the starter motor turns reluctantly, starting speed is not reached and in some cases the engine refuses to start.
