Service bulletin 167-T1810-01

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

TT-18-002 VEHICLE VIBRATION-MISSING DRIVESHAFT BALANCE WEIGHTS. If a low mileage, recently delivered vehicle exhibits a vibration while driving, it is recommended to inspect the driveshaft(s) for missing balance weights. The missing weights may or may not have been painted over. Spot weld marks will remain visible where the weight had been installed. If the vibration is isolated to the driveshaft with the missing weight(s), replacement of the effected driveshaft is necessary. 11MY-19MY Conventional Trucks equipped with a J08 engine.
