Service bulletin SSM 47581

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Some 2019 Edge and Nautilus vehicles may have a U3000:47 DTC set in the ABS module, with no other mechanical symptoms related to this DTC. This DTC may have been inadvertently set at the factory and it has no functional effect on the vehicle. The DTC will permanently clear after 96 key cycles when the vehicle is driven over 20 km/h (13 mph), and no further action or repair is necessary.

SSM 490912020-09-04. Service bulletin. Some 2019-2020 Edge/Nautilus vehicles may exhibit a false traction control or yaw control event. This may be due to software in the anti-lock braking system (ABS) module. To correct the condition, reprogram the ABS module using the latest software level of the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 2B373 and labor times in Section 02 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
