BMW Parts Bulletin TEC9V Fuel Tank / Level Sensor Returns BMW AG has requested an inspection of the following part numbers: 16 11 7 268 031, 16 11 7 268 032 and 16 11 7 297 340 Stock should not be sold or installed on any vehicle. 16 11 7 268 031 and 16 11 7 268 032 All fuel tanks produced before 05/30/2014 needs to be returned. All parts with later dates of production are ok and can be used. 16 11 7 297 340 All level sensors produced in Poland before 05/19/2014 (date is shown as day 139 of year 14 on the part) need to be returned. Those produced after this date are ok and can be used. All level sensors produced in Brazil currently in dealer inventory need to be returned. Please return all part(s) to your facing Regional Distribution Center (RDC). Submit for return using a YR26 damage claim with order reason BM2. A valid BMW delivery and delivery item number must be entered, and TEC9V must appear in the text of your TEC claim. TEC9V is valid from September 24, 2014, through October 08, 2014. The deadline for filing a claim under TEC9V is October 08, 2014. All parts must be returned to your facing RDC no later than October 22, 2014. Please re-order the same part numbers as needed.
