Service bulletin M130215

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

High-pressure Direct Injection Fuel System Repairs. INFORMATION Failure to follow the repair procedures, including the use of the special tools and correct torque specifications during the removal, installation and/or replacement of the high-pressure fuel system components, can result in damage to the high-pressure fuel lines, high-pressure fuel injectors, high-pressure pump, and the cylinder head. The use of aftermarket slide hammers and pry bar-type tools is not allowed when removing and installing or replacing these components. Using tools that abruptly shock the injector housing to remove the injector from the cylinder head can lead to failure of the cylinder head and/or the injector itself. The use of power or pneumatic tools is not allowed when removing and installing or replacing these components. Always refer to the proper ISTA/D repair instruction for the approved tools and procedures applicable to the vehicle in the work shop.
