BMW Parts Bulletin Fair Share Allocation The Parts Logistics department would like to announce the launch of Fair Share Allocation (FSA). Fair Share Allocation is a process which will generate efficiency for both the dealer network and BMW NA allowing everyone to gear more attention toward other customer needs. FSA will be implemented in instances where inventory in the U.S. is not sufficient for the demand. The use of this process will: Allow all dealers to fairly receive a portion of the available inventory for a particular item. Limit the need to generate orders via email requests allowing dealers to use the normal parts ordering process. Allow dealers to save on shipping costs and still take care of their customers by placing stock orders. A specific quantity will be reserved for each dealer, eliminating the urgency to create orders. At the same time, reducing the need for returns caused by over ordering. Create confidence and comfort by showing how many pieces the dealer will have access to for a particular time period. The available quantity can be used by the dealers at their discretion to assist customers as needed. Dealers will have the ability to register the email address of needed personnel to receive a notification when FSA has been implemented.
