NHTSA's summary
BMW Parts Bulletin TEC11 Delivery Module Return BMW NA has requested the return of the following part number: 16 11 7 341 301, 16 11 7 341 303 Stock should not be sold or installed on any vehicle. Concerned are all parts delivered and shipped so far that have the modification index AI01. All parts with modification index AI02 are correct. (Please see image below) Please return all part(s) to your facing Regional Distribution Center (RDC). Submit for return using a YR26 damage claim with order reason BM2. A valid BMW delivery and delivery item number must be entered, and TEC11 must appear in the text of your TEC claim. TEC11 is valid from September 10, 2015, through September 24, 2015. The deadline for filing a claim under TEC11 is September 24, 2015. All parts must be returned to your facing RDC no later than October 08, 2015. Please reorder the same part number as needed. All parts with red marked areas are modification index AI02 and are ok to use.
