# Service bulletin B610417

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin
- NHTSA id: 10146644
- Published by NHTSA: 2018\-11\-05
- Manufacturer's number: B610417
- Manufacturer's date: 2017\-04\-01
- NHTSA component: VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

## NHTSA's summary

SLIGHT SHUDDERING UNDER ACCELERATION FROM 40\-60MPH. When initiating gradual acceleration at between 40mph to 60mph, customer may experience some minor shuddering under acceleration. Some situations that may lead to this experience would be: Gradual depressing of the accelerator pedal Change in load \(increase in road grade\) Acceleration request by cruise control The following conditions must be present for this situation to occur: "Auto eDrive" driving mode selected Engine speed of approximately 1500 rpm Transmission in Drive, running in 7th or 8th gear, Low State of Charge \(SOC\) of high voltage battery. No fault codes are stored as a result of this performance issue. Stacking of tolerances in the driveline.

- [B660523](/bulletins/10244242.md), 2023-11-01, Service bulletin: VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL; LANE DEPARTURE; FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE. Various functions of the camera\-based driver assistance systems \(ADCAM system\) can lead to customer complaints.
- [B660916](/bulletins/10151333.md), 2018-12-10, Service bulletin: VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:CRUISE CONTROL; EQUIPMENT; FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL. """Collision Warning Failed"" or ""Pedestrian Warning Failed"" CCM Display. While driving, a Check Control Message \(CCM\) is displayed advising of the following: Front collision warning failed Pedestrian detection failed The following fault code is stored in the KAFAS \(Camera\-based Driver Assistance System\): 0X800AC4 \- Camera calibration failed The KAFAS camera is not properly mounted and secured to the mounting bracket on the windshield; And/ or: The mounting bracket glued to the windshield is not installed correctly. The pictures below show both incorrect and correct installation. This picture shows the KAFAS camera installed in the bracket. Notice the spacing highlighted by the ""green lines"""
- [120915](/bulletins/10147599.md), 2018-11-13, Service bulletin: VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL; VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:ACCELERATOR PEDAL. "SUBJECT N55: Slight Surging at Constant Speeds when Accelerating Very Lightly. The vehicle shudders or surges slightly while driving at constant speeds and applying the accelerator very lightly. This symptom is most easily reproduced under light loads when the current fuel consumption is approximately 3448 miles per gallon. The current fuel consumption can selected and monitored in the instrument cluster while driving \(the ""fuel consumption, current"" option is set to active in the settings menu\). No relevant fault will be stored in the DME memory. DME software; the fuel injection rate under these conditions is too close to the minimum calculated threshold."
- [B122315](/bulletins/10147190.md), 2018-11-05, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL. "Reduced Engine Power with ""Charging Pressure Too High"" Faults Stored. When accelerating under certain conditions, the engine power may be reduced and a Check Control Message \(CCM\) ""Drive Faulty; Drive at moderate speed"" is displayed. The following charging pressure control fault is stored in the DME: ? Fault 120208: Exhaust camshaft sensor, signal: not plausible As a result, the engine power is reduced, and the following faults may also be set: ? Fault 120408: Charging pressure control: Switch\-off, pressure build\-up blocked ? Fault 120908: Charging pressure control2: Switch\-off, pressure build\-up blocked CAUSE DME software error"
