# Service bulletin B340515

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [B310124](/bulletins/10249016.md), 2024-02-01, Service bulletin: SUSPENSION. With the vehicle is on a lift and the front struts are in the extended position, there may be a cracking and orclicking type noise when turning the steering wheel left/right. See attached video V31 01 24. The sound can reoccur when the vehicle is lowered, and the wheels are once again under load. The noise might also be heard for a short time while driving.
- [B340515](/bulletins/10184575.md), 2020-12-21, Service bulletin: WHEELS:LUGS/NUTS/BOLTS/STUDS; EQUIPMENT; SUSPENSION; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. TICKING NOISE FROM THE FRONT AXLE WHEN CORNERING: The customer may complain of a metallic ticking noise from the front axle, when cornering, maneuvering, parking or pulling away from a parking space.
- [B310112](/bulletins/10179812.md), 2020-09-14, Service bulletin: SUSPENSION. CRACKING NOISES FROM THE FRONTAXLE AREA WHILE TURNING THE WHEELS, WHEN STATION: Cracking noises are heard from the front axle area while maneuvering at low speeds \(e.g., parking lot maneuvers\) or when turning the steering wheel while stationary.
- [B610920](/bulletins/10174023.md), 2020-04-20, Service bulletin: ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL:AUTOMATIC \(ASC\); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STEERING; SUSPENSION. CHECK CONTROL MESSAGES FOR BRAKE SUSPENSION AND AIR BAG SYSTEM MALFUNCTION: Multiple check control messages \(CCM\) can display for brake suspension and air bag system malfunction. The customer may also complain about any of the following: Engine can no longer be switched off Drive position \(D\) cannot be engaged on the gear selector switch \(GWS\) Reduction of steering assist After an engine emergency shut\-off \(either a prolonged long press; or 3 consecutive short presses of the Start/Stop button\) and the vehicle going to sleep \(identifiable by the lighting of the "Start/Stop button"\) everything resumes normal functionality and the CCM messages no longer appear.
- [B310514](/bulletins/10166229.md), 2019-10-21, Service bulletin: SUSPENSION. Front Suspension Ride Height Has Dropped: The front suspension ride height has dropped on one or both sides due to overload. This is caused by driving over obstacles \(e.g. potholes\) or an impact severe enough for the front spring strut damper to slip through the clamp of the steering knuckle.
- [B330318](/bulletins/10153753.md), 2019-02-25, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY; SUSPENSION:REAR; WHEELS. KNOCKING NOISE OR VIBRATION/DRONING NOISE FROM THE REAR AXLE. A hard knocking noise is heard from the rear axle area during load reversals. The tuning of the rear suspension mount for the differential.
- [B330119](/bulletins/10153752.md), 2019-02-25, Service bulletin: ENGINE; SUSPENSION:MULTIPLE AXLE. DRONING NOISE FROM THE REAR AXLE. A humming/droning noise is heard with vibration during partial to full engine load in higher gears. The tuning of the rear suspension mount for the differential.
- [B330318](/bulletins/10152663.md), 2019-01-07, Service bulletin: SUSPENSION. KNOCKING NOISE OR VIBRATION/DRONING NOISE FROM THE REAR AXLE. 1 A hard knocking noise is heard from the rear axle area during load reversals. 2 A humming/droning noise is heard with vibration during partial to full engine load in higher gears. The tuning of the rear suspension mount for the differential.
- [B370214](/bulletins/10151362.md), 2018-12-10, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; SUSPENSION. Service Action: Program Variable Damper Control \(VDC\) Unit. Unfavorable tolerances for the plug\-in connections of the wheel acceleration sensors may result in fault code memory entries and the VDC being deactivated. If the VDC control unit identifies an implausable value from one of the wheel acceleration sensors, the VDC will be deactivated and the driver is informed by a Check Control message. The vehicle then defaults to the conventional suspension.
- [330212](/bulletins/10150375.md), 2018-12-03, Service bulletin: SUSPENSION. Rattling Noise from Rear Axle. A rattling noise is heard from the rear axle when driving over rough or uneven road surfaces. Internal tolerances of rear shocks
