# Service bulletin B340417

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

"?DSC WARNING LAMP ILLUMINATED AFTER TRANSPORT MODE DEACTIVATION. After vehicle start\-up from transport mode, the DSC warning lamp flashes. CC message "driving stabilization restricted" is displayed in the CID. The following faults are entered in the fault memory: 0x482394 EPS control unit: Initialization fault steering angle, loss of multi\-turn value. 0x48078B DSC control unit: Initialization fault EPS, adjustment required. The order of transport mode deactivation and steering angle sensor initialization reversed. While in transport mode, the steering angle sensor loses calibration on every terminal change. During the QCI service, transport mode deactivation is supposed to occur prior to steering angle sensor initialization. When this is reversed, calibration is lost."
