# Service bulletin JSD\-Region Lette

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin
- NHTSA id: 10145734
- Published by NHTSA: 2018\-10\-15
- Manufacturer's number: JSD\-Region Lette

## NHTSA's summary

Region Letter: August 2, 2018 The descriptions for OpCodes JSD005, JSD006 JSD007, and JSD008 have been updated. An Electronic Control Unit \(ECU\) in the subject vehicles has improper programming that could lead a component in the Continuously Variable Transmission \(CVT\) to unnecessarily cycle and experience abnormal wear. If this component becomes damaged, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp \(MIL\) may illuminate in the instrument cluster and the vehicle could experience a reduction of speed. After reaching a pre\-determined gear ratio, the vehicle can be operated up to approximately 37 mph.
