## NHTSA's summary

This Technical Service Bulletin describes the verification and resolution of a missing poppet in the EcoFit aftertreatment injector causing Fault Code 3167 or 1691. This issue is isolated to the new EcoFit? aftertreatment fuel injector design. The new EcoFit? aftertreatment fuel injector is susceptible to the inner poppet falling out due to a worn retaining spring retainer. This situation can increase the probability of fouling that can cause a high restriction of the injection of fuel into the aftertreatment system.This is an update to a previously submitted communication.
