Service bulletin 5NP-T8W7X-09
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 24-BD-001H | 2024-03-05. Service bulletin. This bulletin contains information about the proper removal of the windshield wiper blade protective cover on all models. If the protective cover is not removed correctly, there is a possibility of the rubber insert and rail spring becoming partially separated on the inner side of the wiper blade, which could lead to poor wiping performance and/or possible scratching of the windshield glass. Follow the procedure in this bulletin to properly remove the windshield wiper blade protective cover on all new wiper blades. |

| 5NP-F7S4R-01 | 2017-01-24. Service bulletin. CERTAIN 2015 AND 2016 MODEL YEAR HYUNDAI SONATAS AND 2016 SONATA HYBRIDS COME EQUIPPED WITH AN OPTIONAL PANORAMIC SUNROOF. THE SUNROOF ASSEMBLY INCORPORATES A WIND DEFLECTOR TO HELP REDUCE WIND NOISE IN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT WHEN THE SUNROOF IS OPEN. IF THE WIND DEFLECTOR BECOMES PARTIALLY DETACHED FROM ITS MOUNTING BRACKET WHILE THE SUNROOF IS OPEN, THE DEFLECTOR CAN INTERFERE WITH THE CLOSING OF THE MOVEABLE SUNROOF PANEL. IN SOME CASES THIS INTERFERENCE CAN RESULT IN THE SUNROOF PANEL DETACHING FROM ITS MOUNTING TABS. IF THE SUNROOF PANEL DETACHES WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, THE PANEL COULD BECOME AN OBSTACLE TO OTHER DRIVERS, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. |
