Service bulletin Dealer Letter

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

This is a Dealer Letter sent to dealers, to emphasize the importance of completing all open recalls on vehicles that visit the dealer. Reasons dealers should ensure no vehicle leaves the dealerships with an undone recall, include: increased customer safety, reduced dealership risk and increased fixed operations revenue. Dealers are to ensure that the vehicle inquiry superscreen is checked for open recalls ? and that they are completed ? on every vehicle that enters the service department.

The document

The document is the manufacturer's. This site does not hold it. NHTSA files a document at one of these two addresses; we have not asked NHTSA which.
