Service bulletin TSB180081-061320

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

This Technical Service Bulletin describes the verification and resolution of under-torqued bolts on the stator backing plate of certain generator sets. Affected generators may not show any physical symptoms initially. However, if the bolts are left under-torqued, they may become free and cause damage to the alternator, potentially resulting in a generator failure.
