Service bulletin TSB180086-062220

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

This Technical Service Bulletin describes the verification and resolution of engine speed instability on certain engines mated to a ZF Ecolife Transmission. Engine speed instability may result in top gear when the vehicle is approaching the governed vehicle road speed due to incorrect Engine Control Module (ECM) calibration governor settings. If appropriate, the countermeasure is to recalibrate the ECM with the latest available calibration.
