Service bulletin SB-17-44-003
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
On some Model 3 vehicles, the charge port does not engage with a Supercharger charge cable, preventing the vehicle from being fast charged. Additionally, when a vehicle is being charged using a Wall Connector, the charge port engages with the charge cable, but the vehicle might charge at a reduced amperage rate.

| SB-17-10-003 | 2018-07-16. Service bulletin. On some Model 3 vehicles, a pre-production LH upper trough plug is installed. The pre-production plug is completely functional, however, it does not cosmetically match the grommet on the RH upper trough. |
