## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [N192268181](/bulletins/10183215.md), 2020-11-30, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:MANIFOLD/HEADER/MUFFLER/TAIL PIPE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL. Emissions Recall. General Motors has decided to conduct a voluntary emissions recall involving certain vehicles equipped with a 2.4L engine and certified to the EPA Bin 4 emission standard and the California Cleaner Federal Vehicle option of Bin 4 emission standard. The performance capability of the vehicle?s catalytic converters may have degraded, such that efficiency is reduced. In addition, the oxygen sensors may provide inaccurate information to the engine control module which manages engine combustion air\-fuel ratios. If these conditions occur, tail pipe emissions may exceed allowed limits, without providing any notification to the driver. The malfunction indicator lamp \(check engine light\) will not illuminate. Dealers are to replace both catalytic converters and both oxygen sensors.
- [N192268180](/bulletins/10183214.md), 2020-11-30, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:MANIFOLD/HEADER/MUFFLER/TAIL PIPE. Emissions Recall. General Motors has decided to conduct a voluntary emissions recall involving certain vehicles equipped with a 2.4L engine and certified to the EPA Bin 4 emission standard and the California Cleaner Federal Vehicle option of Bin 4 emission standard. The vehicle?s post\-catalyst oxygen sensor may provide inaccurate information to the engine control module, which manages engine combustion air\-fuel ratios. If this condition occurs, tail pipe emissions may exceed allowed limits, without providing any notification to the driver. The malfunction indicator lamp \(check engine light\) will not illuminate. Dealers are to replace the post\-catalyst oxygen sensor.
- [PIP4112S](/bulletins/10137182.md), 2018-05-21, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:MANIFOLD/HEADER/MUFFLER/TAIL PIPE. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician of a complaint of a sag or hesitation when accelerating. The concern is present when coasting at low speeds of less than 15 miles per hour and then aggressively applying the throttle, or after making a hard stop followed by an aggressive throttle. This concern may also be present while crusing at highway speeds and then an aggressive increase in throttle. This is considered normal operation of the vehicle the throttle is delayed and opened slowly up to .7 seconds to help minimize driveline lash and clunking or will have approximately .5 seconds of zero torque to allow the transmission to shift to downshift.
- [PIP5122F](/bulletins/10137168.md), 2018-05-21, Service bulletin: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technicians for diagnosing and repairing vehicles that have an issue with a pop noise from the fuel tank area after a cold start or Evaporative Emissions System purge. Technician will be able to use Global Diagnostic System 2 to duplicate the concern by commanding a purge and seal on the Evaporative Emissions System. Replacement of the auxiliary fuel pump module assembly will correct this concern.
- [PI0865C](/bulletins/10134734.md), 2018-04-23, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:MANIFOLD/HEADER/MUFFLER/TAIL PIPE; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM:INJECTORS; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP. This preliminary informational bulletin provides a revision for PI0865B to update the Parts Information table to include Usage and update the Warranty Information.
- [PIT4943D](/bulletins/10114954.md), 2017-08-15, Service bulletin: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have a Service Engine Soon Malfunction Indicator Lamp. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Code P0442. Technician will need to review Techlink article from May 2013 titled "Using the Evaporative Emissions System Tester" Technician will need to follow these steps to help diagnose the issue. First after the P0442 has been verified do not disturb any of the fuel system components. The technician now can use the scan tool to close the Evaporative Emissions System. If possible change the tank pressure sensor units from inch\_H2O to milimeter\_Hg for better resolution. Now the vehicle can be stared to monitor the tank pressure sensor output value for approximately two minutes. If the tank pressure sensor value does change, pressurize the fuel tank side of the purge solenoid with the GE 41413\-A / J 41413\-A and the necessary adaptors. Now add smoke and allow pressure to stabilize for 2 minutes. If smoke is allowed to pass through the purge solenoid, replace the purge solenoid. If the tank pressure sensor value does not change, then install CH\-48096 adaptor between the purge line from the canister and the purge solenoid. With the Evaporative Emissions System closed, pressurize the system through the CH\-48096 adaptor and allow the system to completely stabilize, by observing the Press / Vac Gauge for a minimum of 5 minutes. Now add smoke to the system with GE 41413\-A / J 41413\-A after system stabilization. Now inspect the purge solenoid, engine side, fuel cap, canister vent solenoid filter and any line quick connects. When the leak is unable to be located, test under a vacuum condition. his type of leak may be detected by using the scan tool Purge/Seal function to create a vacuum in the Evaporative Emissions System and then observe the FTP sensor parameter for vacuum decay.
