# Service bulletin 18\-007\-13

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- NHTSA id: 10140069
- Published by NHTSA: 2018\-06\-11
- Manufacturer's number: 18\-007\-13

## NHTSA's summary

MIL Illumination P0300 and/or Engine Runs Rough With Factory Fill Fuel This bulletin involves filling the fuel tank with an additional 5 gallons of fuel, driving vehicle, then completing several start/stop cycles. The vehicles involved in this bulletin may contain factory fill fuel that exceeds allowable Driveability Index \(DI\) levels. NOTE: A Service Porter will be able to complete all necessary repair procedure steps with the exception of Step 7. Only in situations where Step 7 is necessary, should vehicle be dispatched to a Service Technician to clear DTCs. The MIL lamp may be illuminated and upon further investigation the Technician may find DTC P0300 \- Multiple Cylinder Misfire has been set active or stored. The Technician may also notice the engine running rough on initial startup \(with or without the MIL illuminated\).

There is no cap on the end of the vent hose. This is intentional. Some graphics in StarParts may show a vent hose including a cap, but this is incorrect. The actual production vent hose has an open elbow fitting, not a cap. The elbow should be pointing downwards in the vehicle.\~
