## NHTSA's summary

You may have seen news reports regarding fuel economy tests for Subaru in Japan. These reports are the result of an internal investigation and an individual within that investigation claiming alteration of data, with regard to random testing of vehicles in Japan. Subaru Corporation is investigating the claim. However, this situation does NOT apply to Subaru vehicles sold in the U.S. market, including those manufactured in Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc., and does NOT affect U.S. fuel economy figures.
