NHTSA's summary
Some 2018 Mustang vehicles equipped with the digital IPC may exhibit a "Service Tire Mobility Kit" message being displayed in the IPC. Press the OK button on the steering wheel to clear this message from the IPC. To prevent the message from returning on the next key cycle, press the settings button on the steering wheel, and in the menu, choose advanced settings> vehicle> tire mobility kit> 4 years. This should be performed even if the 4 years selection in this menu is already selected. Do not replace the tire mobility kit. Do not attempt any repairs at this time. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates.

Some 2015-2019 Mustang GT/GT350/GT350R Coupe vehicles equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires may exhibit tires which appear to have worn treads even when the tires are new or have low miles. This may be due to the fact that these tires come from the factory with a tread design which has shallower tread depth than most tires. There are also fewer grooves molded into the surface of the tire, with some areas of the tire showing no tread at all. Before condemning these tires as excessively worn, ensure that you are familiar with how these tires appear when new. |
