# Service bulletin 510660

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

According to the attached letter from Daimler AG/Mercedes\-Benz; ?Daimler AG \(DAG\), the manufacturer of the Mercedes\-Benz Sprinter vehicles, has determined that the glass cover of the exhaust gas temperature sensor \(upstream of turbocharger B16/11\) on certain Model Year 2011 ? 2015 Sprinter vans could break when exposed to extreme high or low temperatures. This could result in incorrect temperature sensor readings. If this occurs the ?Check Engine? light will be illuminated and the vehicle will experience a loss of power and enter into a limp home mode.?
