Service bulletin GCUS-3-306

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

15288 - Emission Recall. General Motors has decided to conduct a Voluntary Emission Recall involving certain 2012- 2013 model year Chevrolet Caprice Police Pursuit vehicles equipped with a 6.0L V8 engine (RPO L77). The fuel pump module in these vehicles were not produced to specification and may crack. If this occurs, a fuel odor may be noticed. If the crack becomes large enough, fuel may be observed dripping underneath the vehicle when the engine is running. Dealers are to replace the fuel pump module.
