# Service bulletin MI1346

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

This Maintenance Information explains that on some post EPA 2010 vehicles, it is possible for the combined charging and starting system F81 fuse to blow unexpectedly. To avoid this situation, a 3 amp diode can be added to the corresponding 24CO circuit to prevent electrical back\-flow to the fuse. The following procedure describes the steps to follow to perform this modification.
