Service bulletin 167-B1803-01

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

BULLETIN NO: SA-18-008 While performing CAMPAIGN NO: AA6N0 (CAB OVER ENGINE (COE) HV DRUM/DAMPER REPLACEMENT), it is imperative to check part number of the replacement hybrid motor regardless of the part number indicated on the shipping carton. See photos below for the location of the hybrid motor identification tag with part number. The correct part number for the replacement hybrid motor MUST be G1100-37053. If for some reason a hybrid motor not ending in ?53? was sent to the dealer, DO NOT INSTALL this motor and contact the Hino PDC immediately. The campaign work instructions also clearly indicates the replacement hybrid motor part number should be G1100-37053.
