VOLKSWAGEN DEALERSHIP COMMUNICATION: This document infroms dealers that Takata has expanded its recall of certain types of frontal driver and passenger side airbag inflators. While this recall includes a number of auto manufacturers, Volkswagen vehicles are not included. Customers may contact the dealership in response to the media attention given to this recall. While Volkswagen is not affected, when customers take the opportunity to perform a quick ELSA check on the customer?s VIN to see if any recalls/campaigns are open, and schedule these repairs if needed.
