Dealer Message Only - Dealer modifications to stop lamps. Modifying vehicle systems that are subject to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), such as vehicle lighting systems, can potentially render vehicles noncompliant with FMVSS and/or local laws. Dealers should consult their legal counsel before undertaking such modifications to ensure compliance with federal regulations regarding alteration of FMVSS compliant vehicles prior to sale.
