Supersedes ATE-11-25 due to updated title and information. Due to their function as diagnostic tools, VAS diagnostic laptop and tablet devices are equipped with a proprietary Windows® 7 operating system. The key feature is the use of a partitioned hard drive for system recovery. In the event of operating system malfunctions due to lost or corrupt files, system recovery must be performed using the proprietary data stored on the partitioned hard drive.
