# Service bulletin A661443 2038652\-

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin
- NHTSA id: 10124758
- Published by NHTSA: 2017\-12\-05
- Manufacturer's number: A661443 2038652\-
- Manufacturer's date: 2014\-10\-17
- NHTSA component: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

## NHTSA's summary

Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 66 number 14\-42 dated October 9, 2014. The paint is flaking off of the radiator grille or front license plate holder. The surfaces of these components were too smooth \(due to high\-gloss polishing tools\), which led to weak adhesion of the paint during production. Only components with color index T94 are affected.

Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 13\-74 dated March 12, 2013. Customer may report MIL on and loss of performance. Under extreme driving conditions \(e.g. long idle periods or extended stop and go traffic\), high temperatures can build up in the rail system and may lead to fluctuations in fuel pressure, possibly causing DTC P008700 \(fuel rail pressure too low\) to be stored. Coolant temperature above 102°C in the freeze frame data can be an indicator of those extreme driving conditions.
