## NHTSA's summary

Supersedes AOS\-12\-18 due to complete revision. From ODIS Service installation version 1.2.0 onwards, diagnostic application files are no longer shared with VAS\-PC. As a result, ODIS Service and VAS\-PC can both be uninstalled and reinstalled independent of one another. Furthermore, new installations of ODIS Service DO NOT require VAS\-PC Base version 19.01.01 as a prerequisite. Stand\-alone installations of ODIS Service are now possible and encouraged.
