Service bulletin AOS-15-09

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Supersedes AOS-14-32 due to updated procedure and document cross-references. If ODIS Service becomes corrupted or ceases to function on a diagnostic device with an otherwise functioning Windows® 7 operating system, it may be necessary to uninstall and reinstall the ODIS Service application software. If a Windows 7 operating system malfunction affects diagnostic device and ODIS Service software performance, it may be necessary to recover the diagnostic device operating system and then reinstall the ODIS Service application software. The following sections contain overviews (only) of the initial reinstallation steps needed for both of the scenarios described above. Detailed instructions are covered in Service Information ? ODIS Service document title: ODIS Service Installation Phase 2 ? Software Installation & Configuration Instructions. Please have the Phase 2 document available prior to proceeding with the uninstallation.
