NHTSA's summary
Starting December 17th, 2015, all installed versions of ODIS Service up to and including V2.2.7 MUST BE uninstalled and V3.0.0 installed from a Volkswagen AG Group Services web-server. This mandatory installation must be performed on all diagnostic devices in workshop service. This document describes the mandatory existing version uninstallation, and installation of ODIS Service V3.0.0 on existing diagnostic laptop and tablet devices in workshop service only.
