NHTSA's summary

certain 2015-2016 model year Volkswagen vehicles equipped with 1.8T & 2.0T gasoline engines. This communication is to confirm for our dealer partners that this action does not affect Audi vehicles in the U.S. The affected Volkswagen engines were produced at the Silao Mexico engine facility and sourced to Volkswagen brand vehicle production. Audi of America does not source its engines from the Silao Mexico facility and thereby is not subject to this recall or stop sale.
