Service bulletin A371268 2028561-

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 37 number 12 ? 52 dated May 31, 2012. There is no customer complaint about the gearbox. The gear lever display flashes. The message "gearbox problem, journey can be continued with restrictions" is shown. The entry P0605 or P17EC is logged under the diagnosis address 81- Selector lever. New software in the Selector Lever Control Module (J587) addressed the condition.
